Woman in Need Receives Smile, Donated, from Dr. Bilski...
(INDEPENDENCE, Ohio) February 2009—In coordination with a program sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Independence dentist Thomas Bilski, D.D.S. recently performed a complete smile makeover on Jeanette Harris, a woman who had fallen victim to domestic violence several years ago.
Dr. Bilski, through his association with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a participant in its “Give Back a Smile” program, was contacted to perform a re-construction of Ms. Harris’ smile that had become contorted and disfigured. Once Dr. Bilski was contacted, he quickly agreed.
“It’s been part of my corporate philosophy for twenty years to give back to those less fortunate,” said Thomas Bilski, D.D.S. “And we believe that our work will help to put Jeanette back on track to a speedy recovery.”
Dr. Bilski has participated in the “Give Back a Smile” program for the last several years, and has donated a number of smile makeovers or reconstructions in that time.
The program itself, called “Give Back a Smile,” was created by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry to address a need in the communities of the members of the AACD. Volunteer members of the AACD, such as Dr. Bilski, agree to restore the broken and damaged teeth of survivors of domestic violence. Survivors know that bruises and scars will fade but broken and missing teeth will not. Our generous dentists erase that memory by restoring the smiles at no cost to the survivor thereby restoring their lives.
Consequently, Dr. Bilski agreed to donate the work of a smile enhancement to the woman to aid in getting her life back on track.

January 15, 2008 – Dr. Thomas Bilski and Arpad Csapo of Csapo Dental Arts, Inc. completed and submitted their first national article to a prominent industry publication. The article will be published and available in late January and discusses the intricacies and art of creating a beautiful smile through dentistry.

Dr. Thomas Bilski held his 1-Year Anniversary Celebration from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, offering the chance to win four sets of round trip tickets to Hawaii.
The event was well attended, with more than 100 people from the community attending. As each of the four drawings occurred, there was an excitement and anxious feeling throughout the office as Dr. Bilski or a member from his staff reached in and pulled out a name.
