Great Job Wendy! I had old tough stains on my teeth and not one single over the counter product was working in any way. I finally mustered enough nerve to see Wendy who did a fantastic job and got into every nook and cranny. I am beyond thrilled, and I have found confidence and courage to go more often. Thank you!
Hello Dr. Bilski,
I want to thank you for the opportunity to come to your office and receive treatment for my implant issues. That’s a very nice practice you have along with a friendly environment that made for a very comfortable experience.
Not sure if Troy shared with you the entire history of this tooth but in the past few years I’ve had two failed root canals.. first by OSU Advanced Endodontics and then by a doctor that specializes in endodontics that I was referred to by my dentist. Apparently this was a challenging case with the trauma that happened 30 years prior and the degrading of the root over time. After spending a considerable amount of money, I was left with a structurally compromised tooth from all the drilling along with a “mystery” blackening of the bottom half of the tooth after the second procedure. I also learned after the fact that OSU perforated the wall of the tooth during the fail attempt but never informed me of this. So after all this I still had a tooth that was a ticking time bomb in addition to now looking unpleasant and really angry.
It was at this time that an implant became the logical solution. Troy put me in touch with Dr. Kate and you now know the result of that procedure. I can say plenty of nice things about Dr. Kate but the one disappointment was her refusal to agree with, or even acknowledge, my concerns. This included the cosmetic appearance of the final result along with the strange sensations I was experiencing on occasion under the tooth. After several follow up visits, it became apparent Dr. Kate would not be addressing my concerns. This was unfortunate and left me believing maybe this is just how it is? Maybe my expectations were too high even though I expressed these very concerns on my initial visit and she assured me there was nothing to worry about. Basically left me feeling helpless.
Troy then brought up the opportunity to come to your office. Troy and I have lunch on a regular basis and the topic of your practice came up on occasion and Troy always spoke very highly of you. My initial hope was just to address the tissue and help improve its appearance but when Troy mentioned you would be re-evaluating the entire implant, I was thrilled.
So after yesterday’s visit, I’m blown away about how much was accomplished. I find it impressive that with no prior visit, you were able to just remove the implant and tackle everything “on the fly” in one morning. Can’t help but think that perforation issue you identified may be the cause for the strange sensations I feel on occasion.. and that Dr. Kate had no explanation for? On the trip home Troy was able to give me all the details on exactly what was accomplished. Over the past year he’s gotten good at “dumbing down” the medical talk to terms I can understand.. even if he continues to use big medical terms to impress himself.
Anyway, this has turned into a long email but it was important that I put it all in perspective to express my gratitude for your generosity. In addition, everything with this tooth just so happened during a strange period of my life where I’m in between full-time jobs, financially just getting by, and not currently carrying a dental insurance policy. Troy and I have been friends for 30+ years so having his continued friendship and generous support in helping with all this has meant a lot to me. Once I’m back in the workforce, have dental insurance, and swimming in cash my hope is that I can continue to come to your office for any advanced dental procedures. With my family dental history and my age I’m sure to be a “frequent flyer” member. With this I plan on slowly paying you back in the coming years for what you’ve done for me.
I know there’s still some work to finish (remove sutures in a couple weeks and check progress) but getting this to you was a priority. If you would, could you please pass along my thanks to Jenn and Cassie. They were both a pleasure to work with, very professional, and I’m thankful for their assistance. Also, while you and Troy were at lunch, members of you staff continually checked in on me to make sure I was comfortable and ask if they could get me anything. Very nice. Unfortunately my request for an sundae bar seemed to fall on deaf ears.
Okay, that’s all for now.. but I will continue to thank you until you’re completely exhausted of me. Looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks.
